Please take a moment to read our what some of our Members have to say about their experience with Dangerous Minds and what they have gotten from us...

D$M has done alot for me over the years, giving input when I need it, code snipets, and even guidance to learn new things. All in all D$M has made me a better person, better at learning new things, helping others, and one thing that
The Father Mind is greateful about: To listen. Currently I hold a job where all of the knowledge I learned from D$M and its members is applied everyday, Listening, Teaching, Patience are always needed. Not to mention that my boss can turn to me and ask if I can do something, and I can turn to him and say, Yes. I Can. An example of this is when our main Cisco 7500 Series Border Gateway router went down. I have never touched cisco hardware due to the fact that it is so expensive. Two days later I had the router up and running better than before. The skills of self-teaching and listening/reading to other people's input helped out alot. D$M does great things for those who are willing to learn and I am here to teach and learn from you too.

Thanks to D$M for all you have done for me and everything we have done together.
I'm here now for many years and we learned alot from each other.
Especially thanks to
The Father Mind and
DJPaul who introduced me to PHP and mySQL, and a big thanks to
DMA for general programming and IT security support.
You tought me alot, and inbetween I work as professional software developer and network administrator in a german company.
It's my job since 2006 years now and I earn my breads with it. Beside work I am studying CISCO CCNA. I do consider myself a hacker, but in positive sense. I find security holes in order to get them fixed. Not to cause damage.
I learned alot about IT security in the past - especially in the software area.
Software companies ask me to check their software and websites/-servers for potential security leaks in order to get them fixed.
For example, I helped stripping out various security holes in 2 internationally played and well known mmorpgs developed in korea.
In fact you never learn out and always find something that's totally new to you.
After all... without D$M I would probably still work as allround helper in that small bakery.
The community strengthened my trust in myself alot and the feeling being part of a group.
I figured out that it is alot of fun to learn new things if you see a target and people that are with you.
I am now an Administrator at D$M and I am very thankful for the trust being put in me.

I have been part of Dangerous-Minds since 1999 and the other members have been around to help answer questions.
The Father Mind has been helpful and extremely gracious with his time and effort put into D$M and with its members. I have been here to help people as well, but if no one helps, I learn to help others at a later time.

Dangerous_Minds welcomed me into their community after a random encounter on the IRC channel. Through dedication and perseverance from
The Father Mind, and Wammy, who have helped me to broaden my horizons when it comes to computer networks and internet security. UL with his fascinating insights into 3d graphics and rendering, and Masterfox with his podcasts and music. And Evilking and his family for introducing me to German culture and music.
